Race Timing & Scoring
The Yankee Homecoming 10M & 5K Road Race will be using the ChronoTrack Systems D-Tag as the method of scoring this race for all runners. The D-Tag must be properly worn on your shoe from the start to finish in order to be recognized in completing the race and receiving the official finish time. Each runner will wear a timing device on their shoe that will be read by mats at the finish. However, the timing device is a tag that you will receive attached to your race (bib) number.
You may pick up your race (bib) number and D-tag on race day, at the Newburyport High School between 8:00 AM and the start of the race. Even if you entered the race through the mail or over the Internet you still must pick up your assigned race (bib) number, D-tag, and T shirt (if applicable) on race day at registration. Race numbers are used for identification purposes and must be worn and clearly visible from the front of your body throughout the race.

ChronoTrack D-Tag Requirements
Tips on wearing your D-Tag:
- DO NOT forget your D-Tag on Race Day.
- NO D-TAG. NO TIME.
- D-Tags are non-transferable and MUST be worn only by the participant to whom it is assigned.
- The D-Tag must be attached to your running shoe in order for it to be readable.
- DO NOT attach any metal to the same shoe (i.e. car key).
- DO NOT run with the D-Tag in your hand or any place other than on your shoe.
What to do with the D-Tag if you drop out of the race:
- DO NOT cross the finish line with your D-Tag attached to your shoe if you drop out of the race. The tag will mistakenly register you as a finisher, causing problems with our results.
- If you are forced to cross the finish line. remove the D-Tag and discard it well before you cross the finish line mats.
- If you drop out of the race, stay well away from any timing equipment on the course or at the finish.
- If you know at packet pickup that you will not run your event, please return the D-Tag to the registration staff.
The D-Tag is Disposable:
- Look for the recycle bins at the Finish Line.
